Terms for using PermitDesk as a contractor permit, inspection, document, and follow-up tracking workspace.
Effective June 11, 2026
These terms govern access to PermitDesk. By using PermitDesk, you agree to use it as an internal business operations tool and to keep account access, billing, and workspace data accurate.
What PermitDesk Does
PermitDesk helps contractor offices organize jobs, permits, inspections, blockers, documents, customer updates, team assignments, follow-up actions, imports, and exports.
Important Disclaimer
PermitDesk is not a city portal, permitting authority, inspection authority, compliance service, legal advisor, or official record system. Users remain responsible for checking official jurisdiction requirements, records, deadlines, fees, codes, inspection results, and permit decisions.
Accounts and Workspaces
You are responsible for keeping login credentials secure, inviting only authorized users, assigning appropriate roles, and maintaining accurate workspace information. Workspace owners and admins are responsible for team access and use of shared records.
User Content
You retain responsibility for information entered into PermitDesk, including customer details, addresses, permit records, inspection notes, uploaded files, and exports. Do not upload unlawful content or unnecessary sensitive information.
Billing
Paid plans are processed through Stripe. Plan features, prices, and limits are shown on the pricing and billing pages. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions are month-to-month and can be managed through the Stripe billing portal. Fees already charged may not be refundable except where required by law or expressly agreed in writing.
Acceptable Use
Do not misuse PermitDesk, attempt to access another workspace without authorization, interfere with the service, probe security controls, upload malicious files, or use the service for unlawful activity.
Availability and Changes
PermitDesk may change over time as features are added, revised, or removed. The service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance, infrastructure issues, security work, or third-party provider outages.
No Warranty
PermitDesk is provided as-is and as available. To the extent allowed by law, PermitDesk disclaims implied warranties including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of user-entered records, and uninterrupted availability.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent allowed by law, PermitDesk and TideFill will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, project delays, permit decisions, inspection outcomes, or missed official deadlines resulting from use of the service.
